Standard Motor Products, Independence, KS is recruiting for a Press Set-Up Operator. Duties include setting up and operating 60-150T Presses and material handling steel.
High School Diploma or GED required; and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training.
Must possess basic mechanical aptitude, including the understanding of simple machines, mechanical principles, pulleys, gears, levers and pendulums. Basic blueprint reading required. Must demonstrate the ability to inspect and gauge parts. Must be able to obtain a forklift license and operate industrial powered vehicles. This is a physically demanding job that requires standing, twisting, bending, and reaching. Lifting requirements range from 10-100 pounds.
