Manage Missouri State Park capital improvement projects from definition through construction completion to facilitate successful project completions.Investigate and evaluate potential projects, developing and defining the project’s scope of work and estimated cost.Coordinate all aspects of project and design development through construction completion with Missouri State Park stakeholders including cultural, natural, grant, recreation, and interpretation resource programs and operation staff related to the project ensuring the project meets all project requirements.Effectively and timely communicate project status and decisions to Missouri State Park stakeholders. Seek stakeholder input and alignment to projects decisions.Work closely and coordinate with the Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design & Construction (OA-FMDC) project management resources and other state agencies ensuring Missouri State Parks’ input and direction is effectively communicated and incorporated by OA-FMDC and their design consultants and construction contractors to successfully deliver projects.

Project Management: Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.Oral and Written Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, consider the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral and written presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.Manages and Organizes Information: Identifies a need; gathers, organizes, and maintains information; determines its importance and accuracy, and communicates it by a variety of methods.Self-Management: Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.

Equivalent To Those Typically Gained By

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, and at least 4 years of experience in engineering or architectural design or construction management activities.
