Job Description

Storm Search is currently supporting a client in their search for a Accounting Operations Analyst. Our client, an international distributor of tires and parts established in 1918, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual to join their team. As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting Operations team by providing analysis, reporting, and guidance on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

Create, analyze, and coordinate analysis and reporting to meet the needs of the Accounting Operations team.Develop an understanding of customer deductions/disputes and related accounting transactions.Manage expected vendor returns account and resolve aged, anticipated returns.Provide guidance to the Accounting Operations team on vendor, customer, and accounting issues.Support the financial close process to ensure accurate preparation of financial statements.Utilize Sage Intacct, Metabase, and related SQL report writing tools for analysis.Test new system functionality related to Accounting Operations.Participate in physical inventories as assigned.Initiate and implement process improvements within the department.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting.Three to five years of accounting/finance experience.Two to Three years of experience in debits and creditsIntermediate to Advanced Excel skills.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Experience with IntAcct, JDEdwards, and OBIEE is a plus.Understanding of internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley is a plus.Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
