Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with significant NetSuite proficiency to join our esteemed accounting team in Frisco, TX. The individual will be tasked with offering technical accounting guidance and support to the accounting and finance team. This role will entail overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and serving as a primary contact for accounting activities. Additionally, this person will assist the Accounts Receivable (A/R) team in managing complex customer payments, particularly within a high-volume monthly transaction environment. This position currently requires in-office presence five days a week.

About the Role:Execute day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts receivable management, general ledger upkeep, bank reconciliations, and state tax account maintenance.Generate KPI reports and conduct analysis for the team.Aid the Accounts Receivable team in resolving intricate payment issues using NetSuite.Ensure adherence to all relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and standards.Utilize NetSuite for maintaining accurate financial records and generating various ad-hoc reports.Develop and uphold internal controls to ensure financial information accuracy.Investigate and analyze discrepancies in financial records.Establish processes and procedures to ensure precise and timely accounting data.Prepare and analyze sales tax reports, presenting findings to management.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.Three or more years of accounting operations experience.Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.Capability to work both independently and within a team environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Software Experience:Oracle NetSuite (required).Microsoft Excel (required - intermediate to advanced skill level).Knowledge of Avalara tax compliance is advantageous.Familiarity with Versapay A/R automation and Paycor is beneficial.Experience with high-volume monthly transactions.Proficiency in bank reconciliations within NetSuite.Sales & Use Tax and Payroll Tax experience is advantageous.
