Telecommunications Automation Technician - MA

We are searching for a talented Telecommunications Automation Technician to join our team in Massachusetts! The right candidate will play a pivotal role in the coverage and maintenance of a telecom network for one of our valued customers. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on a state-wide project that includes 81 gas sites, with an additional 35 sites on the horizon.

What you will do: Below is an overview of the responsibilities associated with this role

Ensure optimal performance of our newly installed telecom network through testing, repairs, maintenance, and parts replacement.Collaborate with the Primary Lead for inventory checks and inspections of telecom equipment at various sites.Provide coverage for the Primary Lead when required, seamlessly mastering the Client’s tools to take over duties in their absence.Contribute to the telecom infrastructure's growth by utilizing your understanding of networking and IT cyber concepts in developing and designing new network elements.Support sites beyond the primary network to assist in site inventory, cleanup, and assessments across the state.Act as a coordinator and process developer for the telecom network, ensuring the support of managed services.Work alongside qualified technicians for field visits, contributing to infrastructure design, implementation, and support in collaboration with the Primary Contractor and End Client.Engage in Gas System Operations/SCADA project meetings as a subject matter expert, providing vital technical support and insights.Support troubleshooting efforts at the company's Plant LNG & LPG facilities and participate in developing new procedures and processes.

What you will bring

Five years of utility field experience in a utility or gas environment.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.A flexible, energetic, and positive attitude.Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.Proficient in research techniques for system troubleshooting and incident resolution.Familiarity with the following MIDI-Systems and Components:Cisco Network TechnologyDigi Terminal ServerPerle Terminal ServerLTE RadiosRV55 AntennasDDS modemsCSU/DSU modems and RV55

Preferred skills

Understanding of Cybersecurity and Computer ForensicsExperience with the following:Service NowITIL ProcessesAirlinkCyberArk
