Senior/Lead Mechanical Test Engineer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
In this role working closely with the engineering team you will create and execute the test plans, write test reports and share discoveries with the team.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development and testing of aircraft systems and components using advanced composite materials.Conduct FEA analysis on aircraft structures to ensure performance and reliabilityProvide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.Develop and maintain detailed design documentationCollaborate with other teams to ensure the mechanical systems are integrated and optimized and comply with the product requirementsConduct testing and validation of mechanical systems, including ground and flight testingParticipate in the development of test plans and proceduresIdentify and resolve technical issues and risks
Skills (desirable)
Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or relevant subject. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering 2+ years of experience testing composite structures 2+ years of experience working with aerospace/automotive products Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processesExperience with CATIA, or similar CAD softwareStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong leadership skills and ability to manage and mentor junior engineers
