We currently have an opening for a licensed Senior Civil Engineer in our Transportation Group. All offices have hybrid work allowances. This role is for a hands-on Senior Civil Engineer that can do and can train Engineers and Engineering Specialists in the day-to-day requirements of producing required design models, calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.

Minimum Areas Of Proficiency

Roadway/highway geometric design including pavement designGrading and drainage system designKnowledge of the current California State and Regional stormwater permitting regulations

Hands-on experience with H&H modeling software

Specific Responsibilities

May function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, responsible for the work of the technical groupPlan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit or project requiring a large-scale organization of manpower and financial accountabilityLeads other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Control and Improvement ProcessProvides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analysesEnsures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contractPrepares material/equipment technical specificationsCoordinate surveys, studies, pothole explorations and site investigationsMaintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologiesHelp determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical dutiesPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Preferred Education/Experience

Accredited degree in Civil Engineering, Masters preferredMinimum of 11 years of related work experienceCA Professional Engineer registration is required within 15 months of date of hire

Skills/Competencies

Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate existing and emerging engineering software for use on projectsPotential and desire to perform as the future Technical Director. Excellent written and oral communications skills

Compensation Range

$134,504.00 - $179,338.00
