SUCCESS Enterprises is currently seeking a freelance SEO Developmental Editor. The SEO Developmental Editor is responsible for editing and finalizing content that is written with specific keywords in mindThis is a contract position, working remotely.
The 127-year-old newsstand publication SUCCESS magazine and its online counterpart SUCCESS.com offer personal and professional development, motivation and best practices for entrepreneurs and achievers worldwide. The site welcomes nearly 1 million monthly unique visitors, and SUCCESS and its affiliated social media accounts boast 6+ million cumulative fans.
SUCCESS offers a full suite of digital products and services as well targeted integrated opportunities to efficiently and effectively reach audiences in select markets. This person is a self-starter and can work well independently. Must be able to prioritize and work effectively and efficiently under multiple and often conflicting deadlines. The position requires someone who is proactive and able to anticipate required action, when needed, for successful resolution/result.
SEO Content ProductionContent Review: Review and edit SEO content to ensure it meets editorial standards, is engaging for the audience, and adheres to SEO best practices.Content Flow: Assess the flow and organization of the content, suggesting restructures or rewrites when necessary.Voice and Tone: Ensure the content maintains a consistent voice and tone that align with the brand guidelines.Editorial Calendar Coordination: Update the content calendar to track deadlines, ensuring the article moves through the editorial production process on schedule and follows established publication dates.Final Review: Conduct a final review of content after all revisions have been made, ensuring it is ready for publication.
Qualifications1-3 years of experience in content editing, preferably in a digital environment with AP StyleKnowledge and understanding of SEO best practicesExcellent editing and proofreading skillsAbility to ensure content aligns with editorial and branding guidelinesAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Compensation for this opportunity is $35/hour up to 20 hours per week.
