SEO Optimization and CMS Publishing Editor
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
SUCCESS Enterprises is seeking a freelance SEO optimization and upload editor (Wordpress). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimizing and uploading high-quality, SEO-optimized content that increases web traffic and enhances brand visibility.
On-Page SEO OptimizationMetadata Optimization: Craft SEO-friendly meta titles, descriptions, and tags for web pages.Header Tag Optimization: Structure content using proper header tags (H1, H2, H3, etc.) to improve readability and SEO.Content Optimization: Edit and optimize existing content for targeted keywords to improve search rankings.Image Selection and Optimization: Source images, add alt text, titles, and compress images for optimal web performance and search visibility.Internal Linking: Implement internal linking strategies to improve site navigation and SEO.Team Coordination: Work closely with SEO specialists, content creators, and developers for cohesive optimization strategies.Author Liaison: Communicate with content authors to obtain any necessary information or clarification related to content.Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO best practices.Competitor Analysis: Keep an eye on competitors' websites to identify new SEO opportunities or trends.
Content Management System (CMS) OperationsContent Uploading: Upload articles, images, videos, and other content assets into the CMS.Content Formatting: Ensure that all uploaded content is properly formatted according to the website’s style guide.Content Scheduling: Schedule posts for automated publishing based on the editorial calendar.
Quality AssurancePre-Publication Checks: Perform quality checks before content goes live, ensuring it adheres to SEO guidelines and is free from errors.Post-Publication Audits: Review content after it has been published to ensure it is displayed correctly and is fully optimized.SEO Audits: As assigned by the paid media managing editor, conduct on-page SEO audits to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing or related field1-3 years of experience in on-page SEO optimization and CMS managementStrong background in media and AP StyleExcellent attention-to-detail, organizational, and multitasking skillsStrong communication skills and adherence to deadlines
Compensation: $35 per hour up to 20 hours per week
