Sr. Plant Manager

Position SummarySukhi's Gourmet Indian Food is looking for a seasoned Sr. Plant Manager to manage our all plant operations at our physical plant located in Hayward, CA. The Sr. Plant Manager will organize, and control bulk production of food items to ensure that goods are produced in the right quantity at the right time and meeting all cost and quality standards necessary to serve our growing customer demand. In addition to managing the day-to-day activity in our plant this individual will be responsible for capacity and capital planning as well. The Sr. Plant Manager role is onsite in Hayward, CA.

Key Areas of ResponsibilityOversees all production and operational activities for the plant and build process to better connect key stakeholders to our goalsChampions a safe work environment and maintains compliance to health and safety policies, procedures, while ensuring compliance with applicable OSHA/Cal- OSHA requirementsEnsure all quality and food safety policies and standards are met and are in compliance with all applicable regulatory agenciesDevelops, manages and owns the plant budget, identifying, reporting and addressing variancesDevelops and manages daily priorities that drive production schedules to meet inventory levels, cost and quality goalsAnalyzes production and quality metrics and proactively implements improvements and solutions to issues that are identifiedProvide hands on leadership, including evaluating all existing systems, processes and metrics and recommend and implements improvements which will minimize production costs and waste while maximizing production outputs

QualificationsBachelors level degree in Business Manufacturing, Engineering or related field10+ years progressive plant experience, with at least 5 years plant experience in leadership/management capacityMust have experience in a USDA manufacturing environmentExperience with plant engineering a plusDemonstrated leadership in plant, experienced at managing the following key functional areas: Production, Maintenance/Engineering and Sanitation.
