Our team of Financial Risk Managers plays a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating the various financial risks that Suncorp may encounter. They are instrumental in safeguarding the financial stability and viability by proactively managing and mitigating these risks.
As the Financial Risk Manager, you will provide second line of defence oversight and assurance across the Suncorp Group.
What You’ll Do
Provide 2LOD oversight and assurance of financial risks and projects across Suncorp, performing technical reviews as requiredCollaborate with business owners to support balance sheet management activity and capabilityProvide relevant and insightful briefings to the CRO Insurance & Financial Risk and the Chief Risk Officer to enable effective challenge and discourseProvide insightful and timely financial risk analysis and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Group ALCO as requiredProvide subject matter expertise and guidance to 1LOD and 3LOD teams to ensure risk is managed effectively
What You’ll Bring
Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, accounting, or related discipline (Mandatory)10+ years of financial experienceExpert knowledge and understanding of the economic environment facing customer segments in financial servicesAdvanced understanding of related financial risk areas (Counterparty, Market, Asset & Liability, Liquidity, and Insurance)Advanced consultation, influence, and negotiation capabilityPositive attitude, dynamic thinker and ability to challenge the businessExcellent communication skills to all levels of the business
