Job Summary

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner provides human resources consultation and support to designated business groups to define and execute HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives. Actively participates in the development, planning, and implementation of engagement, compliance, and diversity programs in line with Sundt's strategic objectives. Utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical support to line managers. Acts as liaison with other HR functions and ensures our corporate Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Program complies with government legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Advocates HR programs by communicating the business value of HR initiatives and managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption. Conducts various HR compliance investigations, audits, outside charges, reporting requirements, training, and others as needed, in line with the applicable company policy and/or regulatory directives. Maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under the HR purview. Provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of the employment life-cycle to include during hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc. Serves as a Trusted Advisor to employee owners and managers by effectively and collaboratively providing assistance in employee relations, while fostering trust that enhances the employee owner experience. Supports the development and communication of diversity and inclusion strategies to drive key business results focused on recruitment, improving employee engagement, and retention and employee development of key talent. Supports various HR processes, systems and communications, including terminations, employee benefits administration and Sundt Spirit Day events. Works with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources, Communications, Business or related field. Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, including workers' compensation, union relations, and federal and state employment laws. Five (5) + years of progressively responsible experience in organizational development and strategic direction guide efforts. Frequent communication with upper management, department managers, and other HR personnel. Proficient with MS Office products including One Note, some SharePoint, with advanced knowledge of Excel required. Seven (7) + years of professional experience in human resources management, including employee evaluations, contract negotiations, and conflict resolution. Travel - Approximately 40 - 50 percent frequent travel to Sundt offices and job sites as needed. Working knowledge of Oracle HCM strongly preferred. Bilingual - fluent in English and Spanish. Position is non remote.
