The Treasury Associate Position

Sunnova Energy is currently searching for a Treasury Associate to be responsible for completing and overseeing reporting duties related to financing of solar loans, leases, and power purchase agreements. This role will be responsible for timely and accurate reports to investors, as well as preparation and submission of borrowing packages to lenders. The specialist position will also be the first touch point of contact with our lenders’ compliance and operations departments.

Treasury Associate Responsibilities

Serves as support to Finance team to prepare and deliver periodic servicer reports to internal and external parties.Interfaces with internal and external parties and clearly communicates analysis with easy-to-understand data and reports.Assists in distilling data received from other teams across the company into useable reports.Prepares and submits borrowing notices to investors.Moves loan documents into investors’ documents repository.Performs any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education required: BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field of study.Minimum years of experience required: 5-7 years in loan servicing or financial reportingAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience at a consumer financial institutionPrevious use or understanding of Salesforce or other database tools

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read and understand legal documents including credit agreements, indentures, and service agreements.Ability to calculate financial covenants, determine priority payment schedules, and manage deadlines set forth in legal documents.Excellent analytical and decision-making skills; with the ability to perform complex multivariate analyses and then distill to simple, executable recommendations.Knowledge and capability to use the tools, processes, and best practices to support forecasts that drive business decisions and business planning.Eagerness to take ownership of responsibilities; proven ability to work under pressure, organize, manage, and prioritize multiple deliverables.Aptitude to effectively communicate with peers, senior management, and partners through both written and verbal methods.Team player that behaves ethically, with highest degree of integrity always.Highly positive energy, self-motivated and can-do personality.Excellent attention to detail and organization.
