Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Location: Houston(Missouri City), Texas (On-Site)

Job Description: Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with extensive experience in Zoho Books and SAP, coupled with a robust background as a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, advanced proficiency in accounting software, and a proven track record of handling complex financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1.Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Generate reports for management and stakeholders to facilitate decision-making processes. 2.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance. Monitor variances and adjust forecasts accordingly. 3.Month-end and Year-end Close: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary data for closing activities. 4.General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by performing reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis. Monitor account balances and investigate discrepancies. 5.Tax Compliance: Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely. 6.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices and automation solutions to improve workflow and reduce errors. 7.Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures. Conduct periodic audits to assess compliance. Requirements: 1.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred. 2.Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on general ledgermanagement and financial reporting. 3.Extensive experience using SAP accounting software is required Zoho Books Preferred. 4.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. 5.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications. 6.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities. 7.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. 8.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
