Linux System Administrator

seeking a full time, on-site System Administrator (SA) to manage multiple Information Systems (IS) in accordance with DoD/Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies. The position will require the SA to support existing ISs and to assist in the development and accreditation of new ISs. This position is ideal for a passionate IT professional who wants to support an engineering team working on cutting-edge model, simulation and other technologies supporting critical US Govt. missions. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain computer information systems utilizing Windows and Linux operating systemsCommunicate with IS Owners (ISO) to ensure systems meet their needsAssist with the creation and maintenance of security documentation Harden systems to meet DoD security policiesPerform system maintenance, updates, and backupsCoordinate with government security accessors and other representatives

Minimum Qualifications: U.S. citizenshipActive DoD Top Secret security clearanceIAT Level 2 (per DoD 8570.01M)5+ years of experience as a System Administrator for Windows systems3+ or more years of experience with Linux network administrationProficiency with Network Configurations and architectureStrong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and softwareKnowledgeable of the Risk Management Framework and DoD 8510.01Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a small team environment
