Overview: Company Name Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for an Auto Property Damage (Liability) Claims Adjuster in our Southlake, TX office. The Auto Property Damage (Liability) Claims Adjuster will be responsible for establishing coverage, facts of loss, determining liability position based on degree of negligence, coordinating repairs, communicating effectively and timely with involved parties. In this position, you will administer and resolve claims in a timely manner in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

Position Overview

The adjusting function of the Total Loss unit is responsible for verifying coverage, evaluating damage, estimating total loss valuations ensuring maximum indemnification to client insureds. This position is responsible for investigating, negotiating and settling auto damage, total loss, or GAP claims. This individual is responsible for delivering a claim service that is fast, fair, and easy to ensure client retention, and maintaining client satisfaction, throughout the claim and settlement process. Job Duties and Responsibilities:Review total loss settlement offer or claim payment to verify accuracy; draft and send out correspondence to applicable party for all 50 statesDocument claims through active listening and use of data to investigate and assess claim coverage, damage, and total loss valuations. Summarize valuation and coverage decisions before negotiating and settling with outside carriers and providersProcess letter of guarantee in accordance with all client service level agreementsCommunicate empathetically with clients on all claims, including complex claims that don’t warrant pursuit. Researches and responds to complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issuesProblem solving and contributing to overall team goals by offering suggestions, providing support, and sharing ideasHandle salvage losses and recommend disposal or settlement for most economical outcomeMay provide assistance to claim representatives by answering questions regarding state salvage and title laws, including owner-retained salvage laws and salvage title laws, upon requestLearns and maintains thorough knowledge of state salvage and title laws for assigned states

Qualifications: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred1-2 years of directly related work experience required (Copart/IAA)1-2 years of directly related work experience required (Commercial Total Loss)Texas Adjuster License preferred
