Manufacturing/Process Engineer Intern

Our work environment includes:Casual work attireOn-the-job trainingSafe work environmentWe are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering or Electrical Engineering Intern to work closely with Senior Engineering to develop the product engineering files, design for manufacture, and create work processes and instructions. As part of the training, a candidate will develop skills to review and approve assembly files, customer designs, develop work instructions to meet ISO 9001:2015 standards and source purchased components. The candidate will also gain experience with customer service, supplier selection, and operations.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and flexible person to join our team, with a mind for Continuous Improvement. The candidate should have a good eye for detail, and have good organizational skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as the ability to follow instructions closely. Daily Responsibilities:Assist Senior Engineers with the design review and release of customer designs;Develop BOM’s and verify component availability; Identify alternative components and suppliers; Create work instructions;Complete Continuous Improvement Projects;Data Entry into the ERP software;Coach operators on proper manufacturing processes and techniques.Additional Responsibilities:Participate in Lean and QMS improvement committees; Participate and potentially lead 5S and work station layout projectsData EntryDesired Experience and Skills:Degree path towards a degree in computer science, electrical engineering or engineering technology, electronics technology or circuit design;Experience with Circuits; Microsoft Office proficiency. (Requirement);General computer literacy; Demonstrable problem solving skills; The ideal candidate will be curious, flexible, creative and team orientated. Job Type: Flexible, on site (20 to 40 hours)Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMSalary: $16.50 / Hour
