📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
AccountantPinnacle MEP is a Private Equity Merger and Acquisition Company headquartered in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. We support our HVAC/Plumbing operating companies located throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our operating team in Indianapolis, Indiana. Essential accounting duties including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Payroll processing. This role requires the ability to multi-task, problem-solve, adapt, and, at times, maintain confidentiality. To be successful in this role, you should possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure. We offer a competitive salary and benefits. This is an office position Monday through Friday in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Responsibilities:Perform day to day A/P financial transactions including verification of product receipts, PO matching, recording bills, and processing of vendor payments.Perform day to day A/R financial transactions including invoicing, processing customer receipts, and collection calls.Processing Payroll.Reconciliation of intercompany billings.Monitor monetary transactions.Ad hoc reports as requested.Assisting with annual audit preparations and responses.Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.Performing other office and accounting duties and support as required.
Skills and Qualifications:5+ years of similar experience.Construction industry or similar experience with Work in Progress is a plus.Degree in Accounting and Finance preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.Sage Intacct experience is a plus.Strong financial analysis skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational and stress management skills.Service Titan experience is a plus.Ability to work independently in a dynamic and changing environment.
