Logistic Consultant

Swisslog is growing! Come join our Sales, Solutions and Design team as a Logistic Consultant to manage and assist in selling design and consulting of small and medium projects for customers in need of optimizing and/or designing the best-suited warehouse/distribution center. Primary focus is on servicing the customer with the highest quality in order to generate system integration business. Ensures that all tasks are performed in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001 compliant Quality System Procedures.

Responsibilities

Sells consulting and design servicesDesigns warehouse/distribution center alternatives, specifies software requirements, crates layouts and material flow diagrams, and develops cost estimates for the alternatives and financial models for comparison purposesCreates project documentation and develops presentations for the results of the study to senior management of the customerInterfaces with data analysts, solution analysts, CAD operator, procurement and engineers, international consultants, junior engineers, account manager and external sourcesConsults customers on supply chain with regard to product channels, network set-ups, inventory models, creates business models, specifies software requirements, does financial calculations and documents and presents the results of the studySupports Sales Directors in Sales EffortOpportunity Costs EstimatesRisk ManagementAttends and contributes to workshops with multiple parties involved.

Application Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or EconomicsMBA or Masters Degree in an Engineering discipline is desirableDirect industry experience for education equivalency may be applied as follows: 3 years of experience for 1 year of college courseworkA minimum of 5 years in consulting, engineering, project sales, ideally covering large, complex integrated capital goods projects related to material handling production lines, assembly lines, plant/facility fit out or industrial construction projects, ideally in project management roleWorked with automation software for material handling, exposure to process re-engineering, change management process is preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skillsProficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and project management softwareExperience with MS Access for data analysis and AutoCAD for drawingsTechnical writing skillsUnderstands potential industry specific client business processes, drivers, and issues for determining professional consulting and engineering solutions is preferred
