Who You ArePutting patient communities first is a fundamental value of the hiring company. This entails engaging with patients, families, caregivers, and community advocates to understand their needs and adapt efforts accordingly. The Community and Communications Manager position will report to the Sr. Director of Patient Advocacy and will be responsible for maintaining relationships with patient advocacy organizations and community leaders, in addition to providing project coordination support to the Medical Affairs team. This role will involve collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to develop educational programs and communication strategies for the patient community.
ResponsibilitiesCultivate a people-first culture by incorporating patient perspectives into internal communications and company activitiesDevelop and execute patient advocacy communication platforms by collaborating with various internal teamsCoordinate external messaging and communication plans in alignment with key departmentsAssist in organizing external meetings and events according to objectivesManage grant and sponsorship processes to support external engagementsHandle logistical and operational support for various activitiesManage confidential records and liaise with relevant departments and third partiesAssist with meeting preparations and business-related tasks

Education, Experience & Skills RequirementsBachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant fieldExperience in external communications with patient communitiesMinimum of 2 years in patient advocacy or a related fieldStrong communication skills and ability to build relationshipsPassion for supporting the patient communityAbility to travel up to 10-15%

Salary Range$115,000—$175,000 USD
