About the roleThe Revenue Cycle Manager will play a dual tactical and strategic role in our RCM process and procedures. Responsibilities include owning daily billing operations; overseeing coding and charge capture; reviewing and submitting claims to payers; supporting claims strategy; managing denials; and managing insurance and patient recovery. This role will provide an opportunity to own the RCM process to scale with our growth.

ResponsibilitiesManage the RCM lifecycle, from benefits and eligibility checks through coding and charge capture, claim scrubbing and submission, denials and appeals, patient statements, and receiving payments;Prepare and submit medical claims and associated billing data across billing entities (multiple TINs);Audit charts to ensure CPT code, insurance, and chart accuracy;Ensure patient medical information is accurate, including the capture of referrals and pre-authorizations;Assist care team with patients’ questions and managing payments;Manage Accounts Receivable for insurance companies, as well as patient responsibility;Own and manage all aspects of our billing system including rate changes, contract loading and contract pricing renewals, cash collections, and reconciliations;Report on contracted and non-contracted payer remittance trends;Build and manage RCM reporting dashboards, and work with finance and operations teams to set goals/targets for the department;Review denied claims and collaborate with payer contracting team to resolve;Analyze, assess, and refine revenue cycle process to align with best practices;Additional opportunities may include supporting rate negotiations, informing payer strategy, forecasting, and more

RequirementsMinimum experience 2 years required, 4 years preferred, in revenue cycle management, including billing and collections;Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Management, Finance, Healthcare Administration) required, or equivalent experience;Strong understanding of payer fee schedules, alternative payment models (i.e., Fee-for-Service, Value-Based), and billing requirements for Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans;Experience with billing and third-party partners;Experience working directly with patients on collections and billing issues;Ability to meet and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality policies and handle privileged information in a discreet and confidential manner;Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing regulations
