Role Summary/Purpose

This strategic and highly visible role requires an energetic, passionate leader with demonstrated ability to drive growth and change via a balanced focus on customers, people, process, and innovation. You will have the opportunity to develop two Account Sales Managers and partner cross-functionally with business leaders to grow the consumer credit portfolio for a multitude of programs across the HOME Core Independent Business. In this role, you will manage retailer exclusive, OEM, and sponsorship agreements with varying levels of complexity. The HOME Core Independent business has an annual purchase volume of $400MM.

Essential Responsibilities

The VP, Client Leader will manage 6 Unique P&Ls, and will have a proven record of sustained growth managing fragmented programs. You will be the primary relationship owner for all programs and relationships within the Independent portfolio. This leader will partner with OEMs, Sponsors, and Vertical partners to develop initiatives which drive sales volume for our partners and Synchrony.

Develop segmented sales and marketing strategies which can be executed at scale across complex organization of over 4,000 Independent retailer partners.Own 10 contractual relationships in addition to the Home Generic portfolios, which includes development and execution of a long-term growth strategy incorporating critical value proposition elements aimed at increasing sales and credit penetration while building relationship equity to insulate from the competition.Lead and coach two Account Sales Managers each owning 60 top dealer relationships accounting for combined over $100MM in annual salesInterface with Field Sales Team Leader and Inside Sales Team Leader to drive meaningful engagement across remaining over 4,000 active Independent Retail relationshipsPartnering with the Business Development team to target large dealers both within the HOME Independent portfolio and other buying group programs

This position will work closely with members of the Home Core Sales team and the cross functional members of the Home Core Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Credit and Operations teams to support and deepen existing relationships within the client, contractual Mid-Tier Verticals and dealers and drive strategies that differentiate Synchrony and justify our price premium.Deliver program sales and revenue performance objectives; through an in-depth understanding of P&L / credit life cycle dynamics and which actions to embark on to drive desired results.Manage an annual promotional fund of $40k for the Vaughan Bassett OEM agreement to deliver sales growth while demonstrating the importance of a cohesive promotional offering strategy to its retailers utilizing the Synchrony program.Manage 42 programs across 12 active pricing structures. Develop consolidation model which further minimizes program complexity yet delivers on business ROA targets.Manage Dealer Quarterly and Annual Volume Discount incentives across varying clients within the HOME portfolio.Manage quarterly partner communications rigor impacting all retailers across the HOME portfolio to maximize program returnLead internal and client teams to drive a “One to Many” strategy across Digital Roadmaps and deployment of new tools to the member base.Coordinate internal SYF resources to leverage maximum Synchrony Digital Tool integration through Client’s dedicated website developers.Partner with Marketing to manage Marketing funds of $70K+ to drive strategic growth in merchant enrollment, new accounts and repeat sales.Lead quarterly business reviews, both internally and externally, as well an active member in planning all other client interactions to drive business engagement and results.Proactively scans potential risk and compliance concerns; assures all contractual and compliance obligations are being met for clients.Actively works to maintain and further grow multi-functional relationships within and across our partners, inclusive of Insights, Field Sales, Innovation, Ventures, Analytics (ECE), Synchrony Connect, etc.Ability to leverage various channels to influence partners in order to achieve growth goals. Various channels include, but aren’t limited to phone, face to face meeting, trade shows, webinars, email and newsletters.Ability to work effectively in a highly cross functional environment with other departments such as Marketing, Analytics, IT, Risk, Operations & Training to support business objectives.Utilize data analytics for comprehensive diagnosis of the client’s business and the health / opportunities within the credit program.Provide value added analysis & reporting to client to evaluate & drive program performance.Work with Sales Support team to resolve day-to-day escalated/ad hoc client and sales requests.Continually promote and apply Synchrony Financial Values, acting as a role model for integrity.Set the Vision and Theme for Synchrony's participation at bi-annual client trade shows. Ensure direct reports and the extended team are clear on their roles and responsibilities for trade show execution.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years related experience OR in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/Equivalent with 12+ years of experience in Financial Services5+ years client leadership or B2B marketing experience with a dealer-based program5+ years financial skills which could include the following advanced understanding of contract terms, client and bank obligations, negotiation and deal structure; lead renewal strategy/negotiations for new amendments, breachesExperience managing P&LAbility to travel 20%

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
