Principal Design Director

Synergy Interactive is partnering with a global digital agency to fill a Principal Design Director position. This direct-hire position is fully onsite in NYC and requires previous Design Director experience, experience pitching and winning new business as well as having experience with UX design.

As the Principal Design Director, you will helm the myriad projects flowing through our studio within your designated design specialization. You stand as the cornerstone of the agency, orchestrating the harmony between clients, craftsmanship, and culture. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that every team member contributes effectively to their assigned roles, embodying our agency's values in every project undertaken.

Your leadership will not only be instrumental in steering current projects to success but also in expanding our agency's horizons. You will drive growth by securing new client accounts and nurturing existing relationships, leveraging your exceptional communication skills to inspire your team and share the studio’s vision and passions, both within our walls and to the world outside.

Key Responsibilities:Securing new client accounts while maintaining and strengthening existing relationships.Catalyzing growth and spearheading our studio’s expansion into new markets.Playing a vital role in formulating strategies for new business development.Ensuring excellence in all creative outputs from the studio.Engaging with senior stakeholders and providing support to design leaders.

Qualifications:A minimum of 15 years of experience in the design industry, whether in an agency or a product design setting.Proven track record in leading a design agency/business as an Executive Director.Demonstrated success in winning new business, supported by a vast network across various sectors and industries.Strong experience in engaging with senior stakeholders within the organization.
