Supervising Mechanical Engineer- Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Supervising Mechanical Engineer - Project Manager to join our growing team in New York, NY. Our team is looking for a candidate with significant mechanical design experience, specifically with healthcare or Aviation/Transportation or Critical Facilities projects and 3 years of Project Management experience at a minimum. You will be responsible for designing large projects, preparing reports and specifications, and providing a high level of technical leadership.Additional responsibilities include: Establishing design standards, specifications, and criteria for projectsSupervising the preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building conditionsMaintaining interdisciplinary coordination with other trades/projects consultantsMonitoring all correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, owners, etc.Supervising construction administrative duties such as field reports, responses to RFIs, processing bulletins and addenda, etc.The successful candidate would not only have a strong technical role for project coordination but will also be expected to have the necessary supervisory skills to perform:Periodic objective and comprehensive employee evaluationsParticipate in and contribute to the business unit Technical Leadership CommitteeAssist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in business unit technical training and staff mentoring Job RequirementsSuccessful candidates should have a solid, and stable work track record. Someone with Healthcare or Aviation/Transportation or Critical Facilities design experience and Project Management is a requirement. The capability to fully design mechanical systems for other building types such as Aviation projects, Commercial and Mission Critical would be a major plus and good fit for this dynamic role.Additional requirements of the Senior Mechanical Engineer include:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university10-15 years' experience working in a consulting firmLEED AP accreditation, highly preferredCandidate should possess a strong ability to coordinate between MEP and Low Voltage trades, as well as discuss technical aspects of other trades at a high levelLatest version of AutoCAD and REVIT experiencePE license requiredBenefitsAs an employee with Syska Hennessy Group, you will be part of a global firm with an amazing history!
