We are Systems, LLC a leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. We continue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.
Job Summary
As a Shipping Associate, you are expected to ensure completion of all shipping documents including: bill of ladings, packing slips, shipping labels, export documents, processing of shipments through ERP system, and other related processes, and determine the most economical modes of transportation such as LTL, volume LTL, truckload, partial truckload; maximize shipping efficiency through consolidation of shipments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure completion of all shipping documents including: bill of ladings, packing slips, shipping labels, Export documents, processing of shipments through ERP system, and other related processesDetermine the most economical modes of transportation such as LTL, volume LTL, truckload, partial truckload; maximize shipping efficiency through consolidation of shipmentsWork with Customer Service department to resolve late orders, shortages, expedited requests, claims for freight damage, and freight estimates; resolve shipping delays due to customer requestsEnsure accuracy and completeness of all shipments by working with manufacturing when shortages or discrepancies are discoveredMaintain accurate and updated database of shipping weightsComply with health and safety guidelines and rules
Minimum Qualifications
No minimum education requiredNo prior experience requiredAbility to use basic computer software such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, Internet, etc.Solid verbal and written communication

Previous experience in the transportation industry
