We are Systems, LLC a leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. We continue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

First Shift: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday (10 hr days)

As a Welder, you will weld and assemble different pieces by using hand-held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures. You will utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing), and prepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Basic knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma machines, and cutting torches using cutting steel, acetylene, and other cutting methodsBasic knowledge of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentalsAble to endure prolonged standing and deal with various environmental conditions from seasonal changesAttention to detailNo prior experience required

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with solid core wires and argon / oxygen welding gassesPrior experience MIG welding of structural steel and plateAble to perform GMAW processUnderstand weld sizes, types, and functionalities in relation to metal-to-metal fusionAble to read weld prints and layouts, and other duties assigned

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next departmentWork from different specifications and shop ordersUtilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurementsOperate cranes, hoists, and lift tablesReport damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyReport all unsafe conditions to managementComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teamsThis is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group
