NetSuite Cost Accountant
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are partnering with a stellar retail manufacturing firm based in Dallas that is currently seeking a NetSuite Cost Accountant. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining the cost accounting system, incorporating understanding of manufacturing operations and generally accepted accounting principles as well as help us build processes to more accurately track our costs. The successful candidate will also help us analyze trends, identify problems and opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Master Cost Sheets, adjusting standard costs as needed to ensure accuracy for all active Raw Materials, Intermediate items, and Finished Goods.Conduct cost estimations for new products or potential modifications to existing products as necessary.Scrutinize manufactured product costs for any inconsistencies, examining manufacturing variances and identifying potential issues in routings or bills of materials.Manage the day-to-day operations of the work order system, including the analysis and closure of commercial and R&D work orders promptly. Proficiency in work order costing principles is essential.Maintain up-to-date work orders and collaborate closely with production to address any discrepancies that arise.Safeguard the accuracy of standard costs and item attributes influencing costing or standard accounting processes.
Job Requirements
Possess over 5+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting.Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.Exhibit mastery in NetSuite Cost Accounting & ManufacturingCapable of meeting both scheduled and ad-hoc project deadlines effectively.Showcase robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Adaptability to grasp and apply new concepts accurately within a dynamic and evolving environment.Skilled in simplifying complex subjects for non-technical audiences through written and verbal communication.Possess strong interpersonal skills coupled with a customer service-oriented attitude.Willingness to travel occasionally.Hold legal authorization to work in the US.
