T. Rowe Price is looking to hire a Senior Android Mobile Developer for an integrated Application Development team. In this role, you will collaborate with our internal teams to design, modify and develop applications for the financial services industry.

Requires specialized knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and deep experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge.

Leads disciplinary or cross-functional program of notable risk; uses sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.

Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations

Acts as advisor to management and key external stakeholders on broad-ranging projects.

Role Summary and Responsibilities

Mentor and lead other developers enabling them to work independentlyLead development efforts, provide input into architectural and design decisions, provide realistic estimates.Design and develop solutions working with other internal groups such as architecture, design team, dev ops and enterprise security to ensure alignment with enterprise technology direction and standards.Contribute to code reviews and provide feedbackLead discussions to drive tactical vs. strategic decisions, outlining trade-offs

Makes decisions that are cognizant of the firm’s broader business strategy and future priorities

Recommends solutions aligned with Global Technology and business unit strategies

Requirements

Typically requires a completed technical degree and 5+ years of relevant, progressive experienceStays up to date with latest Play Store requirements and latest Android featuresProven experience of full lifecycle support of Android applications, from development to publishing and supportExperience working with remote data via REST and JSONExperience with Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack ComposeExperience writing multi-threaded and networked appsExperience with third-party libraries and APIsWorking knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologiesAble to operate with openness and efficiency with one or more SDLC methodologies (e.g., Scrum)Actively seeks feedback and guidance to improve technical skills (e.g., through submitting work for code review)Works with existing data models and schemas and suggests changes and improvements where necessaryDebugs and fixes your own software with minimal assistancePractices automated testing and tests your work in an automated and repeatable way

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to three days a week.
