Route Driver

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the movement and delivery of merchandise and products to store locations within assigned routes in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.

Operational Duties

Ensure timely deliveries to the Tailored Brands store networkUnload, process and reload merchandise and freightDrive Commercial Motor Vehicle on HUB routes and deliver merchandise to storesPack and ship merchandise as required

Control Merchandise and Equipment

Scan drivers’ logs and tuxedo manifests into and out of the HUBAssist in the reconciliation of data entry errors, transfer discrepancies and pending transfersEnsure security of all HUB equipment and tools

Safety

Perform driving function within the parameters set forth by the Transportation Safety DepartmentEnsure that work areas are cleanReport all injuries to up-line management on a timely basis

Employee Relations

Actively support corporate mission statementMaintain a professional and courteous relationship with stores, customers and vendorsWork collegially in teams

Transportation Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have minimum 2 years driving work-related experience (job training will be provided)Valid driver’s license (Class A or Class B CDL is preferred but not required)Able to pass a Company road testAble to pass a DOT physical, including drug screenGood driving record: No more than 2 moving violations in past 24 months or 3 moving violations in past 36 monthsNo DUI’s, DWI, or license suspension in last 10 yearsNo more than 1 preventable (DOT recordable) accident in past 12 monthsFamiliar with the surround market and neighboring cities/surroundingsAbility to work in all areas of the HUB’s distribution center and perform any necessary job duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Able to sit and remain alert while driving for a period of at least 10 hoursDrive 26 ft. automatic transmission box trucks with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVWSquat or crouch to handle or position freightEnter and exit vehicle cab minimum of 8-10 times per day. Entry and exit will be achieved with the assistance of various steps, footholds, and handholds. This requires additional bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, crouching, and balancingPush and/or pull 500 or more pounds on a dolly cart or manual pallet jackPush, pull, and lift 50 pounds without the aid of mechanical equipment at a minimal distance of 12 feetFrequently reach for freight at waist level, above the shoulder, or below the waist, with required movement to left or rightMust work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAll staff employees are expected to be available to work in all areas of production as required
