Seasonal Shipping Staff

Responsibilities

The Shipping Staff are responsible but are not limited to the following:

Process all retail transactions in the HUB and ensure timely processing of transfers between the warehouse, vendors and store locationsPerform a variety of transactional and manual tasks involved in maintaining inventory controls to include receiving, classifying, labeling, verifying, scanning, ticketing, packing, tracking and shipping retail merchandise/productReceive, check, verify and process incoming merchandise/product and re-distribute to proper locations and/or store destinationsInspect and process damages of merchandise/product and RTV (return-to-vendor) charge-backsReceive transfers from warehouse and vendors and transport transfers to appropriate store locationProcess buyer specified transfers and order-to-vendor drop shipmentsScan items to the appropriate inventory destination using the WMS systemPerform accurate data entry via computer and RF (radio-frequency) hand-held scannersMaintain records and documentation of incoming/outgoing shipments and daily inventory transfersAssist in the reconciliation of data entry errors, transfer discrepancies and pending transfersInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepanciesTransport and transfer merchandise from one area to another in a timely mannerConduct physical inventory counts as requiredHandle UPS shipping of boxed merchandise Ensure security of all hub equipment and toolsAssist Route Drivers as a ride-along driver helper as needed Ability to work in all areas of the HUB distribution center and perform any necessary job duties as assignedMonitor equipment and report equipment failure as instructed

Qualifications

Shipping/receiving experience and/or prior experience in warehouse inventory control processingBasic computer literate skills to enter and retrieve data requiredWorking knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) and radio-frequency (RF) hand-held scanners and other materials necessary Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of matching inventory receipts with invoices, purchase orders and UPS ShippingAbility to adhere to all safety requirementsMust possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with people from all levels of the organizationMust have a positive attitude and be able to work independently and as well be part of a teamMust be customer service oriented while working in a fast-paced, time sensitive and deadline driven environmentAbility to follow instructions, prioritize and multi-task Good communication skills and good command of the English language (speak, read, and understand English for purposes of performing necessary job duties)Basic math and counting skillsMust have strong attention to detail, with ability to process merchandise with speed and accuracyMaintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performanceFlexibility to work in all areas of production and able to work any shift during peak season is requiredHours of operation and schedules are subject to change and may require early morning, evenings, weekends, holidays, or late night shiftsAbility to learn new skills and take on additional job responsibilities as needed

Continuously standing, walking, sitting, reaching and working overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, and crawlingFrequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushingFrequent use of ladders and/or lift equipmentFrequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more
