About The Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant ll to join our Corporate General Accounting team. The Staff Accountant ll will report to the Manager, General Accounting and in this role will perform monthly general ledger accounting tasks related to benefits as well as a strong emphasis on asset management tasks necessary to record and update the Company’s accounting records. This is a remote position.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

Apply US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Perform various month-end close responsibilities to ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial results.Prepare journal entries for month, quarter, and year-end close.Perform account reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts, including the verification of data for completeness and accuracy.Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports in a timely manner.Monitor activity in various general ledger accounts, including all benefits related accounts, tuxedo inventory accounts, and various other accounts.Participate in quarterly, interim, and year-end audits.Partner with internal auditors to ensure internal controls are compliant with SOX 404Prepare various reports to be distributed to departmental management.Diligently follow up to ensure all deadlines are met, and that management is routinely apprised of progress and issues.Assist management and various internal organizations with their understanding of internal financial statements and other general questions.Manage projects geared toward process improvement and identify opportunities for automation.Drive projects to completion and seek ways to improve efficiencies.Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Company policies and procedures.Additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experienceAnalytical, accurate, and detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments with ease and minimal supervision.Working knowledge of an ERP system required, preferably PeopleSoft.Experience with the reconciliation of complex accounts.Aptitude and willingness to learn new software applications.Thorough understanding of accounting rules under US GAAP and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirementsAbility to perform effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines in a timely manner.Demonstrated ability to adhere to standard operating procedures, metrics, and regulatory compliance.Skilled in developing relationships to accomplish work goals, and ability to listen and share ideas amongst coworkers.Organized, highly motivated professional with strong initiative.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsProficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote office location

The starting salary for this position is $61,100 – $101,800 and may increase to $127,300 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
