📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is a growing Saas firm that uses big data to help companies with their global shipping and freight logistics. They are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator that is strong with a combination of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, PostgreSQL, Virtual Machines and Shell scripting. This is a fully remote position open only to candidates located in the United States, however local candidates able to work on-site in their HQ and visit their off-site data center (both in New Jersey, right outside NYC) are preferred. No sponsorship is available at this time.

Required Skills And Responsibilities
10+ years of professional Systems Administration experience, ideally working in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Environments, with the majority being spent working with on-prem and co-located servers Strong understanding of SQL servers, specifically PostgreSQL Ability to write Shell Scripts Experience working on Virtual Machines ideally running on VMWare Capable of working independently with little instruction in a fast paced environment Prior experience working with off-shore teams and strong verbal and written communication skillsComfortable working odd hours and weekends as needed based and based on business demands
Nice To Have Skills
BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or related STEM fieldRelevant certifications (Linux, SQL, Shell Scripting, etc.)AWS experience Able to read PHP code and interact with codebases / collaborate with developers Experience with architecture
Compensation
Salary is based on experience with a target of $110,000-120,000 + an annual performance based bonus
