In this role as a Principal Developer, you will be a core member working to modernize EDI and payment processing products. This will be a great opportunity to make a big impact while working at a smaller organization.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements analysis through test, release, and supportDesign, implement, and support EDI application integration to convert data to and from X12 EDI, XML, Flat Files, and proprietary file formatsDevelopment of software solutions according to technical requirementsParticipate in code and design reviewsIdentify opportunities for improvements, innovation and new technologies that will help our client with data integrationInterface with client manager and Quality Assurance to ensure accurate delivery of project requirements and compliance with standards, code quality and accepted conventionsManage and maintain implementation testing environmentsWhat are the requirements needed for this position?Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare and software development15+ years of experience of object-oriented development experience working in JavaExperience with working in an agile environmentStrong SQL Skills to query the databaseExperience with Windows and Linux operating systemsExperience with Source Control systems like Git/BitBucket, CVS, TFS, VSS, and/or SubversionExperience with Continuous integration using JenkinsWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Familiar with HealthCare Transaction processing, Clearinghouse Operations, X12 EDIFamiliar with REST Web Services, XML, JSON, SOAP, YAMLFamiliar with Maven, Gradle, Kubernetes, Docker, virtual Box, ELK StackExperience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and TeamsKnowledge with Streamsets, Talend, Airbyte, and Open source ETL toolsMust be self-motivated, can work independentlyMust be an analytical and creative problem solverAble to troubleshoot customer implementation issuesStrong written and verbal communication skillsA passion for delivering high-quality customer solutions and creating great customer experiences.Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal informationKnowledge of HIPAA/PHI/PII working environment
