📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment in an industrial setting. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.Conduct inspections and tests to assess the condition of equipment and determine the need for maintenance or repairs.Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize repairs based on production schedules.Assist in the installation, relocation, or modification of equipment as needed.Stay current with advancements in industrial technology and maintenance techniques through training and professional development opportunities.Support continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in industrial maintenance is preferred.Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Strong knowledge of industrial machinery such as conveyors, motors, pumps, and compressors.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to respond to emergencies or support production schedules.
