Accounts Payable Specialist

As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will join our accounting team and work cross functionally to ensure accurate and efficient processing of vendor bills. You will report to the AP Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review, process and approve invoices daily.Handle payables for separate entities and work in several QuickBooks files.Process invoices for payment by using a 3-way match.Research invoice discrepancies (price, quantity, other) with appropriate functional team member.Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures .Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.Meet monthly close deadlines. Qualifications:

3-5+ years of accounts payable experience.Knowledge of QuickBooks and Fishbowl.Understanding of accounting.Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.Strong attention to detail.Positive and energetic attitude. High sense of urgency .Ability to prioritize and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Motivated, self-starter that can also work as part of a team.Resourceful and curious mind to investigate issues.Prior food or beverage sector or manufacturing experience (optional).
