Senior Staff AccountantPOSITION SUMMARYRandstad Finance & Accounting (Tatum) in Atlanta, has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Accountant. Our client is a growing food manufacturing company in Norcross, GA.The Senior Staff Accountant will assist in the preparation of the monthly closing for the company including, but not limited to, monthly operational reporting, inventory closings, and all aspects of variance and financial analysis. Works closely with various management personnel in the coordination of the annual budgeting process, as well as various financial scenarios and projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrong background in manufacturing cost accounting. WIP, BOMs using GP DynamicsPrepare and record journal entries transactions for month end closing.Responsible for closing and other fixed asset functions for all companies.Prepare general ledger account analysis and other assistance/schedules during quarterly and annual closing including any other schedules to support the annual audit.Responsible for coordination/valuation of physical inventory cycle counts.Closing the month’s inventory accounts in the most efficient manner, reconciling to insure accuracy.Examine ways to improve workflow. Knowledge/exposure using MS Visio or any other similar softwarePerforms other duties as required that are in support of the department’s goals to meet company deadlines and objectives.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced Excel skills, Strong Macros, v-lookups, P/Tables,Strong knowledge on Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics.Minimum requirement is a 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus.5+ years’ related accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices associated with accounts payable, accounts receivable.Ability to maintain confidential information. Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to perform well in time crunched situations and meet deadlines.Ability to operate with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Proven track record of taking initiative, working well with a team, and solving problems with minimal supervision.
