Department Overview
The team is responsible for transitioning models and processes to the platform and executing models during stress tests, ALLL, and IFRS. MLE currently has 1,100+ models/processes that are run on the platform using roughly 60 TB of data
Job Summary
The Modelling/Forecasting Senior Analyst provides subject matter expertise and creates a broad range of data models by applying a variety of techniques to build out complex data models.
Depth & Scope
Acts as a subject matter expert within own area of specializationServes as an escalation or process reference within field of specialty, LOB or domainActs as an information resource for others in own area of expertiseDesign, develop and implement various statistical and forecasting models to optimize different campaigns, risk, response and customer value Build predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques and led applications of predictive modeling techniques for complex business problems such as multi-channel effectiveness, customer lifetime value modeling, social media sentiment analysis, digital marketing channels, marketing mix modeling and churn modelingProvide leadership and creativity by using advanced quantitative methods to identify opportunities that bring value to the business and influence decision making. Lead all analytic/modeling projects and provide solutions to the business problems facing across the cross functional departmentOwn and manage model governance, and all regulatory affairs such as compliance approval process to make sure all the built models are in compliance with current banking rules and regulationsSynthesize data and analytical methods into actionable business strategy and communicate findings to business partners and executive management teamSolves complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, which may include consultation with numerous stakeholders and leaders at all levelsFocuses on short- to medium-term (weekly-monthly), non-routine specialized/complex issues and/or escalated mattersIndependently performs functions/activities from end-to-end for LOB and/or function supported
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operational Research, Applied Math, Engineering and or Science + 5 years of experienceMaster's Degree in Statistics, Operational Research, Applied Math, Engineering and or Science + 2 years of experience. Proficient PC skills, including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and a variety of PC-based analytical and reporting software packagesExperience making complex predictions based on a vast amount of past and/or present data through the development of statistical and/or mathematical modelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills required to interpret data and draw conclusionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
