Responsibilities:Spearhead the development and implementation of a cutting-edge Business Management System to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP standards.Provide strategic direction and leadership to our Quality Assurance Team, driving continuous improvement in product quality and reliability.Oversee the allocation of resources and management of the Quality Assurance budget to achieve optimal results within financial targets.Elevate our Quality Assurance documentation, refining procedures, work instructions, and forms to uphold the highest standards of excellence.Implement a robust quality control system to monitor product quality, identify opportunities for enhancement, and drive innovation.Mentor and empower the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and follow-up activities to ensure compliance and drive improvement.Serve as a key liaison with upper management, providing insights and updates on matters impacting the Business Management System.Schedule and facilitate Management Reviews to assess the effectiveness of our quality assurance processes.Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance the effectiveness of our Business Management System.
Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly manage and mentor employees within the Quality Assurance Department, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.Conduct hiring, training, and performance evaluations in accordance with company policies and regulations.Address any issues or concerns within the team with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications:Proven track record of leadership in Quality Assurance, preferably within the aerospace manufacturing sector.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.Strong decision-making skills with a focus on driving positive outcomes and ensuring product reliability.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience with ERP Quality management systems, particularly Oracle-based platforms.Thorough understanding of Cost of Quality principles and a demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.Familiarity with Supplier Quality Management processes, including corrective action systems, supplier assessments, and audits.
Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field required.Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on aerospace manufacturing.Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
