Agile Program Management

Role: Agile Program ManagerRole Type: Contract till mid-January. Location: Hybrid - Fort Worth ( Must report to office every Wednesday and Thursday)

We are seeking an experienced Agile Program Manager to lead and oversee a critical program comprised of multiple Agile teams, some of which may be located onshore and others nearshore. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of the program, ensuring it aligns with overall business objectives, delivers exceptional value, and adheres to strict financial services industry regulations.

Responsibilities:Collaborate with key stakeholders, including product owners, scrum masters, executives, and development teams across onshore and nearshore locations, to define program goals, vision, and roadmap, all within the context of financial services regulations.Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all agile teams, bridging geographical and cultural divides, and considering the unique needs of the financial services industry.Manage dependencies and risks across the program, proactively identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks, considering time zone differences and regulatory hurdles.Monitor program progress, track key metrics, and report on performance to stakeholders, ensuring transparency across all locations and adherence to financial reporting standards.Champion continuous improvement by identifying and implementing Agile best practices, considering the needs of both onshore and nearshore teams.Ensure Alignment and team coordination amongst local and nearshore agile development teams. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance within the program teams, even when working virtually, all within the risk-averse environment of financial services.Manage program budget and resources, ensuring efficient and effective allocation, considering potential cost variations between onshore and nearshore locations, and adhering to financial services industry budgeting constraints.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or Higher10+ years of overall experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile program or project management, with a proven track record in the financial services industry.Minimum 2 years of working with nearshore/offshore teams. Participated in PI Planning events. Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)Hands-on experience with Azure DevOpsProven track record of successfully delivering complex programs using Agile methodologies in a geographically dispersed environment.In-depth understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and practices, with the ability to adapt them to the financial services industry.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across cultures.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and bridge time zone differences.

Certification PMPAgile certification - SAFe Certification is a plus
