📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilitiesStrong AWS and Snowflake Data Architect/Engineer with good experience of Deployment automation and DevOps in Snowflake and AWS eco system.Design, development & implementation of DevOps and deployment pipelines using CI/CD and IaC tools and frameworks in Snowflake and AWS eco system.Set up tools and required infrastructure across various services such Snowflake, AWS, SnapLogic and Alation.Monitor data product roadmaps for different providers and components and recommend enhancements according to product updates.Ability to architect and engineer timebound sandboxes for PoC and innovation.Define test, release, update, and support processes for operation of data platform infrastructure.Monitor development processes for adherence to standards.Deploy and maintain cybersecurity measures, vulnerability assessment & risk management, i.e. Snowflake dashboards for risk & audit, code vulnerability scanning tools like Snyk, etc.Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.Mentor and guide other developers in best practices and deployment processes.Perform coaching, peer reviews and brown bags. Preferred SkillsHands on experience in AWS & Snowflake for deployment and CI/CD tools and frameworks.Advise customer for inputs on Data & CI/CD tools, frameworks and processes.Good understanding of tradeoffs of leveraging various components for CI/CD & IaC in Snowflake and AWS eco system.Strong experience with various open source tools and frameworks for CI/CD & IaC.Experience setting up complex build pipelines with approvals, version tagging, readable deployment plans and artifacts.5+ years of experience in Snowflake & AWS architecture advisory and implementation3+ years of experience in automating infrastructure setup and application deployment3+ years of setting up and using AWS components EMR, EC2, Lambda, ECR, ELB, Route53, S3.Strong Experience with python, Terraform, YAML, JSON, TOML, SnowSQL, Flyway, preferred.Some experience with containers and orchestration utilizing Docker or ECS preferred.Experience with Databricks and Databricks Terraform preferred. Education/Certifications:One of the following certifications preferred:Snowflake SnowPro Core/Advanced ArchitectAWS Certified DevOps Engineer,AWS Certified Solutions Architect,AWS Certified SysOps AdministratorBachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering
