As part of their application support team, you'll offer critical technical expertise, aiding both proprietary and third-party trading systems. Key Responsibilities:Establish efficient processes for production support, software deployment, and proactive monitoring to minimise downtime and anticipate issuesProvide support for production systems across various asset classes and geographic locations, on a multi-platform environment (primarily Linux with some Windows)Develop proprietary process automation and monitoring tools and use third-party technologies as neededTroubleshoot production incidents and automate configuration and rollout proceduresSupport market connectivity and work with exchanges on technical support issuesCollaborate with various teams globally and help end users and developers understand core systemsBuild documentation and coordinate with other support teams to ensure consistent support in a 24x7 environment
Key Requirements:Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to navigate complex issuesExperience supporting high performance applications and process monitoringKnowledge of FIX protocol and other exchange protocols, and experience with script development (3+ years using Python) and SQLExperience supporting electronic trading systems (and the trading desk) on Linux and Windows platforms in a large-scale production environmentOffering adaptable work hours for optimal team support, inclusive of rotating on-call shifts. For applicants in the US, we specifically seek individuals who are amenable to a work schedule of 10am to 6pm, Sunday through ThursdayB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree and self-motivation to continually improve production support function(Desired) Familiarity with network communications, including multicast networking, and experience with Docker
