Water Treatment Chemical Business Development Manager
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
A progressive international water treatment company is looking for an experienced water treatment chemical sales representative for sales and service of water treatment chemicals (and associated equipment) in their Valliant territory. Rep will take over an existing territory and focus on new and existing customers in the large industrial accounts. Job will focus on boiler, cooling tower and waste water chemical and mechanical applications within large plants in the area. Previous high pressure boiler experience would be ideal.. Specific responsibilities will include:Day to day management of existing assigned accountsDevelopment of new sales through cold calling and networkingMaintain effective communications with client and company managementMaintain industry knowledge through training and online programsManagement of technical support team, when assigned.
Company offers a base salary of 100-125K plus guaranteed first year bonus , excellent commission plan, company car, expenses, home based office (cell phone/laptop) and comprehensive benefits package.
Company is looking for someone with the following qualifications:4 year degree in a technical field highly desired but will consider industry experience in lieu of educationAt least 4 years of direct industrial water treatment chemical experiencePrevious experience in large industrial accounts (paper, steel, petrochemicals, refining, etc.)Previous work with high pressure boilers highly desired.Previous sales experience highly desiredAbility to work well with little supervisionStrong mechanical aptitudeEffective communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to write intelligent technical reports in a timely fashionHighly motivated for sales.
