📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

Position SummaryThe Payroll Specialist is pivotal in ensuring seamless processing of in-house payroll, adhering to pertinent personnel policies, collective bargaining agreements, and state/federal regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and thrives in a collaborative and productive work environment.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesOwner of all payroll responsibilities ensuring timely and accurate processing of multi-state, bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls in accordance with labor regulations, standard principles, and company policies.Prepare manual, off-cycle, adjustments, and correction payments.Process final paychecks and PTO payouts as required by state.Oversee child support, tax levies, and garnishment orders.Coordinate with Benefits to process payments for employees on leave of absence.Assist with New Hire Onboarding process.Perform timely HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.Perform daily/weekly audits of HRIS data interfaces; maintain data integrity in systems by analyzing data.Identifies improvements to processes or data interfaces.Review and audit all benefit related payroll deduction changes in ADP.Respond to payroll related inquiries from employees, managers, and external agencies
Job Specifications2+ years of payroll processing experienceExperience and proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.Knowledge of ADP Vantage, SAP, SuccessFactors and Kronos are a plus.Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables).Employee must demonstrate a high level of numeric accuracy and possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Experience processing multi-state payrolls, familiar with local, state, and federal taxes and payroll laws.Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
Working ConditionsThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required.
