Senior Accountant

We are looking for a full-time Senior Accountant. This is a hybrid role with a requirement to work 2 days in the Elgin, IL office. Responsibilities• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP.• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations within area of responsibility.• Review general ledger coding for accuracy.• Develop expertise in ERP system• Analyze and provide commentary around financial statement variances to budget and prior year.• Assist FP&A with the budgeting and projection cycle. Review and present financial trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.• Interact with external auditors, management, and other functional finance team members as required to accomplish work responsibilities and departmental goals.• Research and recommend accounting treatment for complex business transactions.• Create and improve processes and structure as needed in all functional areas to ensure proper accounting treatment and operational efficiency.• Potential to support accounting integration for acquired entities and other special projects as needed. Skills and Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred.• Three or more years of accounting experience – distribution experience is a plus.• Advanced Excel skills.• Strong attention to detail.• Desire to working in a dynamic, changing, and fast-growing company.• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
