📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
A TekStream client is seeking a Sr. Accountant for a F/T, onsite role in the San Francisco Bay area. **Due to the onsite nature of the role, local candidacy is required**
The Senior Accountant is a member of the accounting team whose primary responsibility is accounting for CIP, maintain the fixed asset module, maintain the loan schedule and schedule of real estate as well assist with reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and monthly close. The successful candidate should have experience in public accounting and be able to close the G/L for any entity and assist with consolidated entities’ financial statements if needed and support other accounting/reporting projects.
Salary range: $110,000 - $125,000Responsibilities include:Maintain the Project Cost and CIP listingsMaintain the Fixed Asset modulesMaintain the Loan scheduleMaintain the Schedule of Real EstateReview for accuracy the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements. Prepare adjusting journal entries for review/approval.Work with auditors and respond to auditor inquiries for financial statements and for tax mattersAssist the Accounting Team with other ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting3+ years accounting experienceSolid knowledge of GAAP AccountingExcellent Excel experience. Strong organizational skill and attention to detail in preparing schedules including reconciliationsProactive learner who enjoys solving problems and a variety of challengesAbility to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of work productProvide technical expertise to assigned entitiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)Ability to work independently with limited direction from manager2 years of public accounting experienceHotel or commercial property accounting experience
