Hiring a Buyer in Las Vegas for a local Casino!
Description
Develop comprehensive commodity strategies that documents sourcing approaches, preferred suppliers, cost performance and gaps, quality performance and gaps, logistics solutions and technology roadmapsPerform comprehensive analysis to ensure best-in-class souring, pricing, and cost savings based on total cost of ownershipSummarize sourcing recommendation and be able to convince stakeholders of sourcing recommendationIssue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on prompt shipments at the appropriate quality and cost levels
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum BA/BS degree required in a related field or an equivalent experience, with an MBA preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement or a related field.Knowledge of Stratton Warren inventory system (inputting bids, creating purchase orders) a plus.Ability to perform complex analysis for supplier and material contracts, develop long-range commodity and category plans, streamline operational procedures, perform continuous improvement activities, recommend and establish inventory levels, and present project reports to senior management.Knowledge of financial and cost management, PO and contract management, and spreadsheet analysis.
Pay: $32-35/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7a-4p or 8a-5p
Contract: 3 month contrac
