📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Aston Carter is hiring Delinquency Control Counselors to work with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution in Winchester, VA!
This position will be a hybrid working environment, which will require both remote and onsite work.
Overview
To control/collect on past due Consumer Loan and Credit Card accounts in accordance with all government and banking rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
Provide member financial counseling and mitigate loss for the credit union.Contact delinquent members in an attempt to cure delinquency utilizing all payment options and loss mitigation tools offered by the credit unionObtain detailed financial information from delinquent members and analyzes information gathered to determine optimal solutions for curing delinquencyNotate in Collection systems members’ arrangements, reason(s) for delinquency, and any offered charge-off alternativesOffer short/long term solutions including repayment plans, promises-to-pay, loan modifications, refinances, personal finance management and deferral programsExplain and communicate relinquishing options such as settlementsMaintain working knowledge of the federal and state consumer protection laws
Experience
2-3 years of recent experience working in a customer service environment (call center, sales, retail, or restaurants, etc.)Ability to communicate effectively via email and phoneProfessional written and verbal communicationExperience in collections or banking is a plus!
Hours: Must be available Monday - Saturday between 7:00am - 8:00pm EST.
