IT Technician

General Description/Job Duties: This resource, under the direction of the Enterprise Application team, will be disassembling IT Equipment from cubicles/desks and conference rooms and placing them in designated locations within the building. This includes all types of IT Equipment ranging from desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, desk phones, AV-TVs, speakers, mobile devices, and all peripherals associated with that equipment including any hardware/wall mounts/racks/stands. This position will require the use of hand tools associated with the removal of such items. Inventory of items will need to be logged/documented including in serial/asset tags for accounting/recycling purposes. People Skills

Ability to take direction and follow specific instructions/guidelines. Willing to work as an enthusiastic team member capable of handling multiple tasks. Organized and flexible when selecting work shifts. Self-Motivated work ethic and strong attention to detail Technical Skills Basic knowledge and experience with Windows and Mac OS Basic network troubleshooting Testing of basic IT/AV equipment functionality Understanding AV technologies and IT systems on a basic level Familiar with basic computer and audio/video operations specifically hardware installation/removal. Physical Skills The ability to lift heavy objects (up to 90” TVs/Monitors) Transporting, setting up, and installing/removal of media equipment and audiovisual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks Disassembling of IT equipment, connections, and support tools in a safe manner Performing inventory management on IT equipment and peripherals/accessories The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Physical fitness to transport and set up heavy IT/AV equipment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by the contracting resource to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds in a safe and secure manner with assistance as needed.
