📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Description
Our client is seeking a a Jr. Network Technician for a six month contract-to-hire position to sit at their headquarters in Elkhart, IN.
Responsibilities
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Layer 2 networking infrastructure. Work under the guidance of technicians to troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2 networking issues. Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Collaborate with team members to support network upgrades and migrations. Provide basic technical support to internal teams and external clients. Perform basic network monitoring and reporting tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of networking concepts. Willingness to learn and develop skills in Layer 2 networking. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
Preferred
Entry level certifications a plus: CCENT, JNCIA, PCCET, PCNSA, Network+ Basic knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls Basic knowledge of Visio Basic knowledge of Juniper Mists
