ONSITE 4 Days 1 Remote friday
Going to be daytime work for the vast majority but there will be portions of the project that require night work
Group manages and launches commercial devices next gen team
Standard network engineering work and migration work
Routing protocols OSPs, NPLS, Cisco routers
Specific top 3 skills you need to see on resume
No On call requirement. Night work how often? Standard maintenance window no more than 3 nights per week. 12am-6am

Responsibility
Hands-on IP router/switch/telephony customer premises equipmentDesign configure and deploy LAN and WAN network connections hardware software and communication links and services.Optimize the network and systems services and troubleshoot any network performance issues.Responsible for the service provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure to company standards.

Specific knowledge and 5 to 8 years experience with Cisco and Juniper routers Strong knowledge of internetworking designs and their applications and routingSolid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking technologies5 to 8 years Experience with protocolsFirewall experience with firewalls such as Cisco ASA Juniper SRX Checkpoint NG etc.Extensive experience with Cisco switches and routersCertifications such as CCNA CCNP CCIE
5 yrs working hands on with LAN/.WAN NEtwork connections
5 yrs of experience with EVDO, BSD, ethernet virtual private line, OSPF, BGP or other routing protocols,
prefer to have someone with 5 plus years working in an enterprise automated environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
need to be a team player, willing to learn new technology as it is deployed across the network, work with the team to determine what routers, switches and protocols will be best used in the DC.
Onsite - 4 days a week; flex as to which day to be remote shift is day shift; there is a 12 midnight - 6a shift no more than 3 nights per week - night work will only be needed maybe the first half of the year; but during the 2nd phase of this project the night shift will be limited
this is a new project being initiated as related to commercial customers
Manage and launch devices for commercial customers - manage SURs, H gateways, mobile switching gateways
min 5 years Networking experience - hands on with devices like CISCO, Juniper, Nokia etc CCN certifications a plus OSP routing protocol WIFI knowledge a requirement must have troubleshooting skills
Day to day responsibilities
working on design, EDP, working across multiple groups; prepare config files; prepare launch devices and complete migration work
2 rounds of interviews
between intermed to expert level experience; this is a critical project involving in depth troubleshooting;
Needed through the end of this year, possible extension into next year
